Sod, Turf & Lawn Renovation
Sod installation, lawn renovation, and artificial turf with proper soil and grade preparation.
A beautiful lawn sets off everything around it — the architecture, the planting beds, the hardscape. Sod provides an established look almost immediately, while artificial turf can be a practical solution for spaces where natural grass struggles.
Either way, results depend largely on preparation: grading, soil improvement, and choosing the right grass for the conditions.
Instant results
Sod delivers a finished lawn in a day rather than a season.
Erosion protection
Established turf helps hold soil on gentle slopes.
Right grass, right place
Varieties matched to sun, shade, and use.
The Work
Preparation makes the lawn
Before any sod is laid, the existing surface is cleared, the area is graded to drain away from the home, and the soil is loosened and amended as needed. Compacted clay is one of the most common reasons new sod struggles to root, so this step matters.
Grass selection follows the site. Warm-season grasses thrive in full sun; shadier areas may call for different varieties or, in heavy shade, alternatives such as planting beds or groundcovers. For dog runs, play areas, or spots where grass simply won't grow, artificial turf on a properly compacted, draining base can be a clean, low-maintenance option.

North Georgia Considerations
Built for this land.
North Georgia's mature hardwood canopy creates beautiful shade but challenges many grasses. Honest assessment of sun exposure helps avoid lawns that thin out within a few seasons.
Red clay compacts easily and drains slowly. Soil loosening, amendments, and grading help new sod establish deep roots.
Good to know: New sod needs consistent watering during establishment; results also depend on ongoing care, so we provide guidance rather than guarantees on lawn performance.
