Landscape & Water Management

Landscape Irrigation Designed Around Your Plants

Zoned drip and spray irrigation that delivers water efficiently to lawns, beds, and trees.

Irrigation protects the investment you've made in your landscape. A well-designed system delivers the right amount of water to each part of the property, at the right time, without waste.

Our approach to irrigation is landscape-first: we look at plant types, sun and shade, soil, and slope, then design zones that treat lawns, shrub beds, and trees according to their very different needs.

  • Healthier plants

Consistent, appropriate watering reduces stress during dry stretches.

  • Water efficiency

Drip and zoned design target roots rather than sidewalks.

  • Less effort

Automated scheduling frees you from hoses and timers.

The Work

Designing an efficient irrigation system

Effective irrigation begins with hydrozoning — grouping areas with similar water needs. Turf in full sun, shaded beds, and newly planted trees each require different run times and delivery methods. Mixing them on a single zone almost always overwaters some areas and underwaters others.

Delivery methods are chosen per zone: spray or rotor heads for lawns, drip lines and emitters for beds and containers, and bubblers for trees. A backflow prevention device protects the potable water supply, and a controller — increasingly a weather-aware smart controller — runs the schedule.

How It Works

A residential irrigation system

Water travels from the supply through protection devices and valves, then out to zones designed for what's growing there.

North Georgia Considerations

Built for this land.

North Georgia's clay soils absorb water slowly, so long run times often lead to runoff. Shorter cycles with soak periods between them typically perform better on clay and on slopes.

Summer heat and periodic drought can stress landscapes, and local watering rules may apply during dry periods. A well-zoned, efficient system makes it easier to keep plants healthy while respecting any restrictions.

Good to know: Backflow prevention, connection to municipal water, and any electrical work for controllers are performed to local code, and some jurisdictions require permits, licensed installers, or backflow testing.
